Set standards and scheduling preferences

Open Settings > Teaching. The first two sections set the standards and calendar context Rectangle should use as a starting point.

Teaching collects the account-level choices that seed standards search, scheduling, new assignments, and new classrooms. Existing work keeps its own saved values. Select the image to enlarge it.

Use Home standards framework for the state or national framework you normally teach. Rectangle uses it as the default in standards search, project alignment, recommendations, and AI-assisted authoring.

Open Advanced standards framework settings when a subject lane needs a different framework or you want to understand how the default resolves.

Advanced settings show how each subject lane resolves. Leave a lane on the profile default unless a school or district requires a different framework for that subject. Select the image to enlarge it.

Each lane shows its resolved profile and the framework selector that produced it. Leave Use profile default in place unless your school or district requires a different framework for that subject. “Needs setup” means that lane does not yet inherit a resolved framework.

The account-level weekend preference must be on before an individual class can allow weekend milestone dates. Select the image to enlarge it.

Choose the time zone Rectangle should use for assignment due dates and deadlines. Detect from browser is useful after traveling or changing devices when the saved zone no longer matches your location.

Turn on Allow weekend milestone delivery dates when automatically shaped milestone dates may fall on Saturday or Sunday. This is the account-level starting choice; an individual class can override it.
