Review your sign-in and change your password

Open your account menu, select Settings, and stay on Account.

Review your sign-in identity

The Sign-in section shows the email and method attached to the account. These values are read-only here. If the email is wrong or must change, contact support instead of creating another account.

Change a password-backed account

The password form appears only when the account actually has a password. Accounts that use a provider without a Rectangle password manage their sign-in through that provider.

1. Enter the current password.
2. Enter a new password between 8 and 128 characters.
3. Enter the new password again.
4. Select Update password.

Rectangle checks the new password against known compromised-password data without sending the complete password or its complete hash to that service. After a successful change, the current device stays signed in while other signed-in sessions are revoked within about a minute.
