Start with a Craft Pattern

Craft Patterns give you an editor-reviewed project arc without locking you into someone else’s topic or wording.

Choose Create from Rectangle's main navigation. Resume current work, preview a Craft Pattern, start blank, or use one of the other authoring paths from this page. Select the image to enlarge it.
  1. Select Create in Rectangle’s main navigation.
  2. Browse the Craft Pattern gallery.
  3. Use subject, grade, and duration filters to narrow the set.
  4. Select a pattern card to inspect it before creating anything.
Open a pattern to inspect its complete arc before creating anything. Confirm the subject and whether affiliated classroom co-teachers may view the copied draft. Select the image to enlarge it.

The preview explains what the pattern is for, the milestone arc, suggested subject and grade context, expected duration, and any visibility choice available for co-teachers. Review the sequence—not just the title—to decide whether its learning rhythm fits.

Choose the available start action in the preview, confirm the project context, and open the new draft. Rectangle copies the pattern’s milestones, deliverables, rubric criteria, and standards into work you control.

Pattern provenance remains visible where it helps you recognize adopted structure. Editing the copied project does not alter the canonical pattern, and later pattern updates do not silently change your draft.

After adoption, check Project first to replace generic context, then review Milestones and Rubric before marking the project ready.
