Leave feedback on one submitted piece

Use per-piece feedback when a comment belongs to one artifact rather than the whole milestone submission.

Open Feedback on this piece beneath the exact artifact you are commenting on. Saving is explicit; Cancel leaves the previously saved feedback unchanged. Comment bank is only a Coming soon seam. Select the image to enlarge it.
  1. Find the submitted piece the comment concerns.
  2. Select Feedback on this piece.
  3. Write the comment in the field named for that deliverable.
  4. Select Save feedback.

Only one per-piece editor opens at a time. Cancel closes the editor and leaves the last saved feedback unchanged. Saving an empty field removes previously saved feedback.

For normal revision-capable assignments, an unsaved draft is mirrored for the current browser session. If you approve or ask for another version while a per-piece draft is dirty, Guide attempts to save it before the review action.

After a successful save, per-piece feedback becomes a readable block under that artifact. Select Edit to change or remove it. Select the image to enlarge it.

After a successful save, the editor collapses into a Your feedback block. Select Edit to change or remove it.

Per-piece and overall feedback serve different jobs

Section titled “Per-piece and overall feedback serve different jobs”

Per-piece feedback stays with the artifact. Use it for a note about one graph, paragraph, link, recording, or file. Overall feedback at the bottom belongs to the milestone decision as a whole.

If a save fails, keep the page open and try again before resolving the submission. Do not assume a failed per-piece save was delivered simply because an approve or revision action later succeeds.

The Comment bank line in this editor is only a future seam. It does not currently provide reusable comments in Guide.
