Finish a Guide session

Guide separates finishing the current actionable queue from declaring that every student and project is complete.

After a successful action, normal mode pauses with the next prefetched item available. Select the next hint, press Right Arrow, or press N when you want to continue.

With Quick Mode enabled, Guide advances directly after the successful action. You can toggle Quick Mode at any time with Shift+Q.

When the actionable review-and-question queue clears through successful actions, Guide can show You’re caught up over the cleared map. The summary includes only work completed in the current session:

  • students or teams who heard from you;
  • pieces that received feedback;
  • questions you answered.

A line appears only when that action actually happened. Guide does not fabricate a progress count to make the session feel complete.

If the session included approvals, the caught-up moment can offer Ready to grade? Assess. Back to Guide returns to the map.

Being caught up does not mean every quiet-work signal was messaged or dismissed. Guide can name the students or teams still quiet as an optional fact. You can return to them, handle them later, or leave them for another session.

The next arrival can repopulate the map. Caught up describes the current visible work and this session’s successful actions, not a permanent inbox-zero achievement.
