Confirm the project is ready to assign

Chapter 3 · Lesson 3

Confirm the project is ready to assign

Recognize the project state that can move into an assignment without learning the full publication lifecycle first.

A Published project in Find is already eligible to enter assignment creation. Your own Ready or Published project in Library can also use the appropriate assignment path; a working Draft is not the promised first-success state yet.

On the complete project document, confirm that Assign to a class is available and that the title, grade range, duration, and author match the project you just inspected.

The action opens assignment creation. It does not immediately expose work to students. You will still choose one or more active classes, review each generated assignment Draft, and stage or start the work deliberately.

Confirm the project presents the current assignment action, then move forward. The complete readiness and publication workflow stays in the deeper Authoring help.

If the assignment action is missing from your own work, return to Library or Authoring and finish the project’s required classroom pieces before trying again. The deeper readiness article explains the full Draft, Ready, and Published lifecycle.
