Add resources to an assignment
Add assignment-specific links or private files from the Project tab while the assignment is Draft or Staged. A resource can support the whole project or exactly one milestone.
Open resource management
Section titled “Open resource management”- Open the Draft or Staged assignment.
- Select Project.
- Find Resources.
- Select Manage resources.
- Select Add a resource.
Existing entries show whether they are Project-wide or attached to a named milestone.
Add a link or file
Section titled “Add a link or file”- Choose Paste a link or upload a private file.
- Add a clear Title.
- Explain Why it’s here so students know how the material supports the work.
- Choose the resource Type.
- Choose Project-wide or One milestone. If you choose one milestone, select it.
- Save the resource.
One resource cannot be attached to several milestones in the current version. Add separate entries when the same material needs different placement.
Edit or remove a resource
Section titled “Edit or remove a resource”Open Manage resources, then use the action on the resource.
- A link can change its URL, title, description, type, and scope.
- A file can change its descriptive details and scope. To replace the uploaded file or convert between a link and file, delete the resource and add it again.
- If its milestone is later removed, Rectangle keeps the resource and makes it project-wide.
Archived assignments are frozen. Owners and co-teachers can manage resources; assistants can read them but cannot change them.
What students can receive today
Section titled “What students can receive today”Teacher-generated Student print documents include the student-safe resource list. Links include a QR code and text pointer; private files state that Rectangle sign-in is required.
The authenticated Student workspace resource doorway is not available yet. Do not rely on the in-app student workspace as the delivery path; use the Student print document when students need these resources now.
