Review submissions in an assignment
Use the Active Submissions tab to review one milestone and one team or student at a time. It keeps the participant, submitted evidence, work context, and review actions together.
Choose the work
Section titled “Choose the work”- Open the Active assignment.
- Select Submissions.
- Choose the milestone.
- Select a team or student from the review list.
The list summarizes who is ready for review, approved, in revision, or not submitted. Assign does not offer bulk approval; select the work you actually reviewed.
Inspect before acting
Section titled “Inspect before acting”Confirm:
- the selected participant and milestone;
- Their progress across the project;
- What they turned in, including each artifact;
- the student’s or team’s comment;
- Context as they worked.
Open an artifact to read it in full when its tile is only a summary.
Choose the review action
Section titled “Choose the review action”- Select Approve when the current version is ready to leave review.
- Select Ask for a revision when the assignment allows revisions and another version is needed. Written feedback is required.
- Select Grade when you are ready to move into rubric scoring. For needs-review work, Rectangle confirms Approve & grade first.
Approval and grading are separate decisions. Approving does not assign a score. Asking a clarifying question also does not force an approval or revision decision.
Use the version controls when the participant has resubmitted and you need to compare the current work with an earlier version.
