Find projects with Coverage focus
Coverage focus changes Find from general discovery into a standards-aware planning view for one teaching context.
Turn on class-specific ranking
Section titled “Turn on class-specific ranking”Select Coverage focus view in the filter row. When Rectangle has a usable class context, the ordinary subject and grade controls are replaced by that context and the catalog becomes Projects matched to your coverage opportunities.
Cards are ranked by the standards they address:
- Closes means the project carries an exact standard from the same framework. This is the stronger, certain relationship.
- Aligns with means a project in another framework shares a mapped topic. Treat it as a useful candidate and confirm the match when you create the assignment.
Only milestone-level standards already attached to assignments in Rectangle count as covered. Work tracked somewhere else does not silently change this plan.
Choose the context and available time
Section titled “Choose the context and available time”If your classes create more than one subject-and-grade context, open the context control and select the one you are planning for. The candidate grid and its remaining standards recalculate for that context.
The duration control still works in Coverage focus. Use it to remove projects that cannot fit the available window without changing the standards meaning. Select Coverage focus on again to return to ordinary Find browsing.
Start before a class exists
Section titled “Start before a class exists”Without a class, Rectangle cannot honestly claim that a project closes a class’s gaps. Coverage focus therefore shows real published examples tuned to the subjects and grades in the teaching profile, followed by the setup path:
- create or import the class;
- set the standards framework;
- assign a standards-aligned project so coverage has concrete work to measure.
The preview says what each example covers. It does not invent a gap count, a class, or completed standards.
