Save, assign, remix, edit, or print a project

The action bar at the top of a Find project document preserves the difference between keeping, running, adapting, and editing a project.

Open a card to inspect the complete project before acting. The top establishes fit, provenance, teacher actions, Rectangle coverage context, and the student-facing purpose. Select the image to enlarge it.

Choose the action that matches your intent

Section titled “Choose the action that matches your intent”
  • Save project keeps the published source in Library’s Saved view. It does not make the project editable.
  • Assign to a class starts assignment creation with this project selected. You will still choose the class and review the generated Draft before students can access it.
  • Remix creates your own editable Draft and records the published source. Use it when the design is close but the reusable project itself should change.
  • Print opens the print-ready project document. Printing does not create an assignment or student access.

The personalized coverage band below the actions is context for the decision, not a promise that assignment setup is complete. Confirm standards during assignment creation when Rectangle presents a suggested cross-framework match.

Only the published project's author sees Edit project. Other teachers can save, assign, remix into their own Draft, or print without changing the source. Select the image to enlarge it.

Edit project appears when you are the published project’s author. It opens the published-project editing workflow for the reusable source.

Other teachers never receive that action. They can assign the source as published or select Remix to change their own copy while the original project and its author remain intact.

If the change belongs only to one class run, continue into Assign and edit the assignment’s project instance instead of changing the reusable published project.
