Assign a project from Find or Library

Start from Find or Library when you already know which project you want. Both paths lead through project detail so you can inspect the project before choosing a class.

  1. Select Library in the main navigation.
  2. Use Saved, Drafts, Remixed, or By you to find the project.
  3. Open its card.
From Library, open the project you want first. Assignment creation begins from that project’s detail page, preserving the project context you reviewed. Select the image to enlarge it.

An unfinished Draft is not assignable. Finish its project essentials and make it Ready or Published before continuing.

Open the project from Find. On project detail, review the project arc, standards, rubric, and other project context before selecting Assign to another class.

Review the project before selecting Assign to another class. Rectangle then opens the class-selection step focused on this project. Select the image to enlarge it.

The action opens assignment creation with this project already selected. It does not change the source project and it does not create a class assignment until you complete the class step.

Choose one or more active classes. Every result begins as a Draft that students cannot see. Select the image to enlarge it.
  1. Under Assign to which classes?, select one or more active classes where you are an owner or co-teacher.
  2. Review Options after a class is selected. Leave the start date blank if you want to schedule inside the Draft later.
  3. Continue with the assignment action.

Every selected class receives an independent Draft that students cannot see. Rectangle opens the first Draft so you can continue setup.

Editing an assignment is a different path. From an existing assignment, Actions → Edit Assignment opens the authoring workspace for that assignment’s copy. It does not start another assignment or edit the original project template.
