Understand a project overview in Guide

The Your projects lane provides read-only orientation without moving you out of the cross-project Guide flow.

Your projects is read-only orientation. It shows where the class is across the milestone arc and groups current roster facts; use Open in Assign for project operations. Select the image to enlarge it.

The header identifies the project, class, subject, participant count, current week, and scheduled wrap. The milestone arc shows completed, current, and upcoming milestones with submitted counts and close dates when present.

The current section groups operational roster facts. In a midflight project these can include:

  • Turned in for participants with work on the live milestone;
  • Still working for participants caught up to the live milestone without a current submission;
  • Behind for participants missing an earlier milestone;
  • Ahead for participants who have work on a later milestone without the live one.

Empty groups are omitted, so every overview will not show all four labels.

The same surface adapts to the project lifecycle:

  • A newly launched project can show Just opened and an On it roster before work arrives.
  • A midflight project shows the current milestone and live progress groups.
  • A wrapping project shows the final milestone and grading groups such as released, still to grade, drafts not released, and no final turned in.

The overview does not edit the assignment. For launched and midflight work, select Open in Assign. For a wrapping project whose next job is grading, use Open grades in Assess.

Counts describe the current operational view. They are not performance rankings or predictions.
