Share a read-only draft preview
Share a draft preview when someone should read the project before it is public. The link is read-only, expires automatically, and does not publish or assign the project.
Open sharing from the draft
Section titled “Open sharing from the draft”Open the project in Authoring and use the share control in the top navigation. Sharing uses the saved draft, so wait for the saved state after important edits.
Generate an expiring link
Section titled “Generate an expiring link”- Choose how long the link should remain active: 7, 30, or 90 days.
- Select Generate link.
- Copy the raw URL when Rectangle displays it and send it through your normal communication channel.
Rectangle shows the copyable raw URL only when the link is created. If you later need the URL again, revoke that link and generate a new one.
Manage more than one reviewer
Section titled “Manage more than one reviewer”Several links may remain active for the same draft. Each row shows when the link was issued, when it expires, and its duration. Revoke one link without affecting the others.
Anyone with an active URL can read the preview. Reviewers cannot reply in Rectangle; collect their feedback outside the product for now.
Share with co-teachers
Section titled “Share with co-teachers”When a draft is visible to classroom co-teachers, they can inspect it in a read-only state. This is separate from an anonymous preview link and does not grant editing ownership.
Use Ready for class when the project is prepared for your own classes, and Published only when it should be discoverable by other teachers. Neither state is required to share a draft preview.
